Warring Years.

they always say that a song tends to hold sentimental value when it is derived from a specific event close to one's heart.

i just thought of two for the moment.

well, make it three.

and this is how the story started out.

Extracts from Oasis - Wonderwall
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now

.
.
.

And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me ?
And after all
You're my wonderwall

with that
we began
a most exciting journey
was it two years or three?
that we started out
one before the other
and later us two as well

us two
not so easy
innitially
but we got over it all.

and than
me
again
with the pioneer
but that was what they called a phase.

and it seemed
everything's wonderful again.

Somewhere Out There - Our Lady Peace
Last time I talked to you
You were lonely and out of place
You were looking down on me
Lost out in space

Laying underneath the stars
Strung out and feeling great
Watch the red orange glow
Watch it float away

Down here in the atmosphere
Garbage and city lights
Gonna save you’re tired soul
You’re gonna save our lives
Turn on the radio to
Find you in satellite
I’m waiting for the sky to fall
I’m waiting for a sign

And all we are
Is all so far

You’re falling back to me
The star that I can see
I know you’re out there somewhere out there
You’re falling out of reach
Defying gravity
I know you’re out there
Somewhere out there

Hope you remember me
When you’re homesick and need a change
I miss you’re purple hair
I miss the way you taste
I know you’ll come back some day
On a bed of nails I wait
I’m praying that you don’t burn out
Or fade away

And all we are
Is all so far

You’re falling back to me
The star that I can see
I know you’re out there somewhere out there
You’re falling out of reach
Defying gravity
I know you’re out there
Somewhere out there

You’re falling back to me
The star that I can see
I know you’re out there

You’re falling out of reach
Defying gravity
I know you’re out there
Somewhere out there

You’re falling back to me
The star that I can see
I know you’re out there somewhere out there
You’re falling out of reach
Defying gravity
I know you’re out there
Somewhere out there

You’re falling back to me
I know, I know

You’re falling out of reach
I know

and irony it seems
that it is more apt now
than it was ever before

i only rememeber
two of them
front of the class
nua as ever
with the cd
the cd with four songs
and four songs only

i was there too
i was standing
and i was listening
before mrs choong came in
but what the heck
i remember the glee on awe on their faces

and not that it meant anything in particular than
except maybe, like the first
our cause.

but it will nonetheless be a point to remember
a point of post war
post defeat
and post depression.

i remember
very clearly
the walks around the bus stop
and talking abt the runification that would happen
here
right here

but that was not to be..

Break Away - Kelly Clarkson
rew up in a small town,
And when the rain would fall down,
I'd just stare out my window.
Dreaming of what could be,
And if I'd end up happy,
I would pray.

Trying hard to reach out,
But when I tried to speak out,
Felt like no-one could hear me.
Wanted to belong here,
But something felt so wrong here.
So I'd pray,
I could break away.

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly,
I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky,
And I'll make a wish, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.
Out of the darkness and into the sun,
But I won't forget all the ones that I love.
I'll take a risk, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.

Wanna feel the warm breeze,
Sleep under a palm tree,
Feel the rush of the ocean,
Get onboard a fast train,
Travel on a jetplane,
Faraway, and break away.

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly,
I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky,
And I'll make a wish, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.
Out of the darkness and into the sun,
I won't forget all the ones that I love.
I've gotta take a risk, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.

Buildings with a 100 floors,
Swinging around revolving doors,
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me.
But I gotta keep moving on moving on,
Fly away, break away.

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly,
Though its not easy to tell you goodbye.
Gotta take a risk, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.
Out of the darkness and into the sun,
But I won't forget the place I come from. I've gotta take a risk, take a chance,
Make a change, and break away.

Break away, break away

i will never forget the aptness of the song than
and how every line fit.

oh well.

what's done is done.
and cannot be undone.

right now
tho not planned
the song that comes to mind
is a song often cliched
over used
and thus not listend to nowadays
is one song
that'll forever remind me of that brilliant class we once shared
that somewhat evolved in later years
but what of it now
now that it matters nothing.

in the end
it doesnt even matter.
