The Rise and Fall.

there was once a worthy knight of north
whom his sisters known to be great bearers of knowledge
and it was unto their reputation
had he to live up to

and although he had decided
that their name
would be of no consequence to his actions
it was he that led the revolutionary march of our time

with revelation of such revolution he led us
onward to battle
and thus
the great awakening from the north began.

no longer
Ireland had said
would we be ruled by foreigners
no longer
Scotland cried
and mind you
a cry
one so loud
so full of vengeance
that it shook the land beneath
across the Channel
so far that enlgishmen
drinking afternoon tea on castletops
were rudely interrupted
by the tremors
and the trepidation that was sent down their backs

no longer they cried
would they allow the tyranny of the English to dictate their life and death.

the battle was not as swift as those above had wished it to be
and success seemed to be but a good dream that had now dwindled into irrelevance to the fight for survival
a fight for mere survival

and than there was a truce
and to the rest of the world
it looked as if the rebel force had accepted defeat
crippled to a point of no return

but as tho it were hibernating
waiting to be hatched
the tides turned
end of the year

for behind the walls
their enemy was regrouping
reforming
and preparing for redemption.

we took them at the battle of the eastern sea
and we won.
we won our first victory
after a series of battles of two weeks
we won.
neither women nor children were spared
every last one of them had been wiped out
there was no mercy
for mercy is given to those who are

it seemed ike there was breakthrough
after the years and years of struggling
we had finally gotten waht no other had
and if soccer was relevant enough in this time
the commander of our battalion would have gotten man of the match
and it was well-deserved.

adn we progressed.
after the battle against Austria
we went on to take Prussia
and tho we lost one match
we kept our morale with us
we once more took down the best it could offer us
the army that the whole of europe had feared
we took them down.
and brought home with us the title in a form of a shield
the title that made it known to the continent
that this knight of the north
was unstoppable
that he was wicked sick
and that he was owning.

and slowly
city after city
capital after capital
one by one
they were fallen
and they were taken under control of the Napoleonic Empire.

and like the many empires that were before
and the many empires that had yet to come
it exceeded its limit.
there was an imperial overstrech;
it peaked too fast.

and all the victory that had been claimed before
was put to a sudden halt.
it was gradual yes
but still unexpected.

it was we who were the underdogs
and had toppled all the hot favourites
but now
it had to be the former rulers to be the ones that caused the fall that began from the north.

it was decided
that after some internal matters was settled
the musketeers would once more regroup were we had won our first battle -
at the eastern sea.

we waited.
and our captain never came.

like the nobles of scottland
seduced by titles and lands that the English could offer
he joined our former rivals
our former enemies.

but alas, while the enemy grew in strength and in dominance
it was not because of their newfound powerful ally
but because they had kept him
undercontrol
incaserated
in a prison without walls.

and thus, all from the north will remember the story of how
this glegendary knight
that was one greatly feared by all who knew him
and faded into a myth

but one day
and i pray that it cometh soon
one day
the uprising that we once began
will be finished
and maybe than
we will be remembered.
