Ranting.
of which there are benefits.
1. Lightens one's load.
perhaps the feeling of there being someone whom understands you're situation helps. something like scribblin a note concerning something important to handle on a memo while being busy with something else.
2. Cathartic relief.
sometimes a scream can cool you're frustrations.
3. Pre-cautions oneself.
in realising how screwed a stituation can be, one will take extra measures the following round to prevent such a thing from happening.
4. Mutual Benefit.
the other part learns and follows suit.
5. Universal Ice-breaker.
notice how conversations at cocktail parties always begin with a whine about the weather?
speaking of which, i have pretty much to rant myself.
yesterday
was one of those days where it seems as though i woke up on the wrong side of bed.
or maybe i always wake up on the wrong side of bed.
i broke many a things.
nope, i didnt break any ice.
first, my headset.
then 2 guitar strings.
may i add, i also might've broken a certain relationship.
worst of all
my guitar strap had to give way to shaun's 400 dollar guitar cauing a hole at the side.
not a dent, a hole.
yes, a hole.
anyone who understand's the physics of a guitar will also know that once broken, the guitar can never produce the sound it once could. that means repairing it can at best alleviates the problem, but cannot solve it.
furthermore, guitars, like wine, increases in value as time goes by. something to do with it's seasoning.
moreover, the guitar must have sentimental value to its owner.
this, collectively means, the guitar costs way over 400 dollars. 3, 4 times over. to be precise, an infinte amount. you cant put a price tag on sentiments.
i guess that was what went through my mind yesterday when it happened, plus the fact that there are politics behind the scenes which i am not permitted to state here. my face must've looked quite pale and stunned, so said the edenites present then.
my holidays look bleak.
ah, i have other things i'd like to vent here. things which i am thoroughly pissified about. but, it would only contradict the material have read if i were to do that.
afterall, the best way to handle hurt is to understand. not thinking you understand, but truly holistically grasping the matter of the knowledge. so says the study i read.
will go and do my qt before going down for --------- where i suspect terence will be there as well.
i hope that answered you're question felda. thanks for asking. life's been a black hole. in the guitar, once a star of the galaxy, now as a downward spiral of events, as well as the fact that it sucks. big time.
no kevyn, you did not offend me. its just that you're blog tends to be very provokative in its own way. the lit way.
to Anonymous, i guess we do lose things that are eternal, but there are also things that are eternally of our possesion. than again, ownership is debatable, as i have learnt.
oh, btw, the guitar is not an eternal entity, but its ownership now owns me even though the owner entrusted its ownership in my care.
therefore, i am now the private property of a guitar.
wish me luck that it treats me well.
