Re: Combined Humanitites Paper 1.
i think this is the strucutre. is it?
today's paper was quite surprising.
for SEQ, i didnt expect the questions to be so predictable. i had the feeling SS was there to kill us, maybe i was wrong.
but hey, they made the paper easy, i think the SBQ was really rather simple, except i was rushing through, i hope i made sense. if there's one skill i learned, its to be calm and simply read the question, answer the question. i might have overdwelt on the Magret Thatcher question. i found myself having not enough time to write my evaluation. i had it all planned out. external threat, since it binds the people and power sharing and direct democracy has the potential to act as a tool of abuse blah blah blah. yeah, the standard debate stuff. but i didnt write it. there jsut wasnt time.
because there wasnt time, i compromised my handwritting.
its just not fair. i cant write half as nice as keng wee who can speed write in calligraphy, nor can i write half as fast as mark. after discussing with him, we had similar points, meaning, it should be correct, only i couldnt pen all of them down.
i must confess i was pretty excited about the SBQ. thing is, i left out the last level of almost all the questions and scurried on to SEQ. after finnishing only L4 for both questoins, i went back to attempt completing the final level for the Argentina Dexcontextualised. with 5 min. i'm not fully sure i was coherent. i know the meaning was there, but whether the examiner can sieve through the simplified sentances, is another question altogether. i pray they be smart enough.
time is always against us. but why?
why time limits?
or rather, why unreasonable time limits?
actually, SS isnt all that bad, if i can get full marks for history, i'll still get my 1. haha. yeah, i mean, for someone who could never finish any essay, i'm sure he can get full marks for hist.
i think i'm a bit over-anxious about the paper.
during prelims, i was dead-set confident about my SEQ. i was sure because i wrote the way cat high wanted, it contained the catch phrases of Danny Tan's lectures, so of course they couldnt fault it. but now, you have no idea who the marker mught be. for all you know, it could be another Mee Choo. than we're all screwed.
ah. there's still hope.
there's always hope.
Your's Sincerely,
Moz.
