Goodbye.
I've always hated the concept of examinations and the tieing of numbered values to individual people. besides the moralistic detriments incurred, there is nothing one can do to change it.
for two days, i've been rather at lost as to what to say, and i mean well though i end up not saying anything at all. maybe i dont trust myself enough to even attempt comforting, maybe i know that comforting doesnt solve the problem but only dwells on the issue which might further impede the individual's letting go.
i wish i cld give them what i have in return for theirs.
part because they mean so much more to the class
part because i've been through the backdoor, and can do so again.
05A53.
for some reason or another, on that fateful wednesday morning, halfway through oreintation, chemistry clouds gathered. and though we were all equally new to each other (save the vs boys and pairs from individual schools) there was something that alreadyy told us there and than, that we were to be class that bonded, that we were to be a united class, that we would be a class that would be recognized for our love for each other. we may not be the smartest, and truth be said, we definately didnt reflect it through our prelim grades nor does A53 have a good reputation of reciving favour from many teachers, but we still believed that it was our most minute idiosyncracies that made us who we were.
and we lived that.
we became that class.
we were 05A53.
and uniquely so.
and now..
after 2 months of solid fun
the captians ball in the rain
the many many class outings we enjoyed
the undergoing trials and tribulations together
or the sufferings of Gay's lit classes
and enjoying the utterly stupid things we commit
like creating bang bang cheers
or the shouts of mua across the LT...
and now
after all this
after all the times we've shared
and all the memories kept
must it end?
blast the Olvls
blast the disillusional prelims
blast everything.
its like tasting a cake
and not yet being able to eat it.
not just them
but all of us
because we wouldnt be no more a53 without the least of any of us.
can we all just say it was a good memory?
a good experience?
i dont think so..
i have dreamed a dream
and now, that dream has been taken away from me.
there are a few languages i know of
english
french
german
russian
a bit of chinese (yes)
a bit of malay
tamil
and sufficient japanese to conduct a proper conversation witha hooligan
but in all these languages
i have yet to come across
a more depressing expression
that contains more distance
and more disheartening inevitabilities
than...
than
Goodbye...
